EMI Group – Emerging Marketing Investments APS is a holding company established in 2003, with head office in Copenhagen (Denmark). The company’s founder and owner is Mr. Stanko Subotić, a Serbian businessman, who used EMI to link the operations of several successful European companies covering three basic business activities: DISTRIBUTION, COMMERCE and REAL ESTATE.
Marketing and sales of newspapers, magazines, sweets, snacks, non-alcoholic and refreshing beverages are conducted through a highly developed retail network of the Serbian company Futura Plus founded in 2003 which, due to its widespread distribution and successful business operations, counts among the market leaders in southeastern Europe. More than 750 articles of consumer goods and 120 articles of tobacco products, as well as the printed media, are distributed by means of numerous kiosks of contemporary design and recently also through "Minut2" shops and/or cafes, designed to resemble corner shops which exist in developed countries.
The business of commerce is conducted in the main subsidiary in Belgrade, D Trade company. This company owns exclusive shops in the center of Belgrade, warehouses in Novi Sad and Belgrade, as well as its own logistics and transport resources. The company deals in sports equipment and consumer goods, and an especially successful segment is wine commerce with best-selling wines from Louis Max winery. Since 2003 Mr. Stanko Subotić owns hundreds of acres of vineyards in Burgundy (France), which guarantees regular shipments of fine wines to even the most particular clients.
Real estate is a separate segment of business activities in expansion due to exceptionally attractive locations owned by the holding company. Mr. Subotić’s group owns, among other locations, a stretch of land from Belgrade to "Nikola Tesla" airport, considered to be of exceptional strategic importance, a piece of St Nikola island across the city of Budva, as well as land on St. Stefan peninsula (Montenegro), where construction of luxurious apartments is planned.
